Kimberly C. Ford

CPA, CVA, MAFF

Kimberly C. Ford is president of theKFORDgroup, a leading CPA firm.  She has served as a leader in the field of taxation for more than 30 years.  Her areas of experience include tax, accounting, financial and estate planning.  She provides direct financial counsel to business owners across South Texas, assisting them in making crucial decisions for success.  In addition to her designation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Kim is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF), both of which are awarded by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.  She performs business valuations and forensic investigations while working closely with attorneys to analyze complex financial situations and provide testimony in the courtroom.

Kim has been recognized by various organizations over the years.  The San Antonio Business Journal recognized her dedication and commitment to San Antonio with its prestigious Women’s Leadership Award in Volunteer Leadership.  She also received the Small Business Leaders Award for Business Achievement from the North San Antonio Chamber.  For her community service, the San Antonio Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners saluted Kim with the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award.  Kim was honored when she was invited to participate in a White House round table in 2012 to discuss the impending fiscal cliff with advisors to President Obama.

The San Antonio Business Journal has honored theKFORDgroup twice with the Who’s Who in Accounting, as well as, the Fast Track Award and Best Places to Work in the small business category.  In addition, theKFORDgroup received the Outstanding Philanthropic Small Corporation Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Kim is currently a member of the Texas Tech Foundation Board.  She is the past chair of the board of San Antonio Youth Literacy (SAYL), as well as a Reading Buddy.  Kim is past president of the San Pedro Playhouse and has served on the board of Impact San Antonio and National Association of Women Business Owners.  She is also a past member of the Board of Governors of the San Antonio Estate Planners Counsel.
